About Tirupati: The beautiful temple of Lord Venkateshwara, located in the cool of the Tirumalai Hills, close to the town of Tirupati, is an important place for pilgrimage. The temple, a masterpiece of Dravidian architecture has a gilded Vimana over the sanctum. At Tiruchanur is the shrine of the goddess Alamelumanga, the consort of Lord Venkateshwara.
How to reach :Linked by air to Chennai, Bangalore and Vijayawada, it is connected by rail to a number of destinations. Tirupati is also well connected by road and easily accessible from Bangalore and Chennai.
Best time to visit :September to February.

Venkateshwara Temple : People from all over the country & from abroad come here to pay homage to Lord Venkateshwara- an avatar of Lord Vishnu. Nearly one lakh pilgrims visit this temple every day. It is considered auspicious to offer one's hair to the Lord.
