 About Jammu: In the gentle foothills of the Himalayas is the town of Jammu- once the capital of a royal principality, now it is the winter capital of Jammu & Kashmir. It is centered on the large Raghunath Temple Complex, which is domed and partly gold- plated. Also important is the Rambireswar Temple, north India's major pilgrimage site.
