 About Jammu: In the gentle foothills of the Himalayas is the town of Jammu- once the capital of a royal principality, now it is the winter capital of Jammu & Kashmir. It is centered on the large Raghunath Temple Complex, which is domed and partly gold- plated. Also important is the Rambireswar Temple, north India's major pilgrimage site.
How to reach :Connected by rail and road to all parts of the country. Jammu is linked directly by air to Srinagar (293 km), Delhi (586 km), Chandigarh (363 km) and Amritsar.
