About Chittaurgarh: Chittaurgarh, well known for the Maharani of Chittaur Padmini whose beauty led the Sultan of Delhi, Allauddin Khilji to attack the fort. After a fierce battle, Maharani with her entire entourage committed sati. The Fort lies on a 180 meter high hill and is spread over 700 acres. Chittaurgarh is of immense historical importance to the people of India as it witnessed the valor & strength of the mighty Rajputs against the intruders in India.
