This site is simple and primarily for the members of Stade de Nip, for their enjoyment and information for meetings and social events. We are 11 games into the new season and Man U are sitting at the top of the Premiership on goal difference along with the current champions Chelsea. November could tell a tale, when Man U play Chelsea at the Theatre of Dreams at the end of the month, but there is a lot of football to be played in between that. The coming back to form of Wayne Rooney has made a tremendous difference and hopefully we can now go from strength to strength.

Graeme and Jen have Ben...

Congratulations to Graeme and Jen who have a new addition to the McFedries Clan. Young Benjamin Francis was born Tuesday 24th October. Everyone fit and healthy. New son already has more hair than his old man.

Champions League...

After a brilliant start with 3 wins from 3 in the Champions League, everyone thought that a trip to Copenhagen was a formality and United would march into the next stage. How wrong we were! Complacency and a far from full strength team seemed under no pressure and cruising for a draw, but as is typical of football, you can never predict what can possibly happen in a crowded penalty area, with bodies flying everywhere. A famous 1-0 victory for the Danish Champions, will definitely be in their history books already.

Christmas Dinner 2006...

The deposits are in and the menus are out. Only about 6 weeks to the Big Night Out at the Jamaica Inn. Saturday 16th December for those of you that keep forgetting. I will be pestering you towards the end of the month or early December to get your final choice of menu. There is an outstanding balance of £12.50 for the meal, which you can pay me up front or give to me on the night. For those of you that have not been on time with the deposits and would still like to attend the social event of the year, than we can maybe perhaps squeeze you in or place you on a waiting list in case of cancellations.

The Stade de Nip Darts Championship

The League has really fell apart, but with the arrival of a new venue and a new board in the Beechfield area of Conlig, we may see the reemergence of the Stade de Nip Darts League and finally get a conclusion, maybe even before the Xmas Dinner. I think most people have only 1 or 2 games to play except for George and Gareth. Some of their games might have to be played as 4 pointers if they have to play someone twice.The next few weeks will clearly show how we get on with this!
